Sunday night seems to be the night for premieres of new McGuinty government TV commercials. Two nights ago was the first time I had the pleasure of viewing their latest, a spot touting the benefits of English language training for immigrants. You don’t say. . .

I wonder how much taxpayer money was spent on the study that pointed them to this conclusion

Well, the Minister of Community (Defence) & Social Services said once:

...It's really surprising to see that a government that should be responsible to the people of Ontario and to the future of governments, frankly, in Ontario would dare to call this bill an act regarding fewer politicians, as though that were actually a positive thing, the view of politicians and a government responsibility to change public attitude, because that in fact is the government's job.
